Speaker 1:

I'm super excited about today's episode. I love putting these little holiday wish list like treat yourself ideas together. It just brings me back through all the things that I've come across this year, things that I love. I just love sharing these things with you because a lot of times I learn from other people, like I'm listening to a podcast or reading a book, and that's how I learn about these gadgets and technologies that improve my quality of life and make me feel good. I love sharing them with you guys. Today's list is eight things. They're all over $100, with the exception of one, is currently on sale for a steal. Thank you, and have a mom and a sunset day, and I did forget to include it last week, so I'm going to throw it in this week because I do think it's a worthwhile thing. And yeah, so I'm gonna start off with a company called HireDose and this year I purchased the and I'm hoping not to like butcher this. It's an infrared PEFM on the go mat. Now if you go to their website, I'll link it in the show notes. All these things will be linked in the show notes. You can go, click right to the item that I'm talking about.

Speaker 1:

I went with the smaller version of this mat and what it is? It's post electromagnetic frequencies. It's also infrared heat. So what that does is it's really calming, it's really soothing. There is a version of the mat. I got the on the go, the smaller version. There is a bigger version that you can like lay fully down on.

Speaker 1:

I wanted something a little bit more portable that I could take with me. I could put in my office chair if I'm stressed out, I could put it in my bedroom if I wanna sit in my little reading spot. So I went with a smaller version. It is about $700, so it's definitely a splurge. Don't get me wrong. I got it on a sale earlier in the year. There is a sale currently going on, as this episode is recording, for 20% off. So it's definitely, like I said, a splurge item, but I have absolutely loved it. I look forward to sitting in it in the morning to read. I look forward to sitting in it before I go to bed.

Speaker 1:

There's different frequencies that you can put it on. Some make you feel grounded, like you're walking in grass. Some make you feel like really relaxed, almost in a meditative state. So if you're a high stress type, a individual like me, and you're looking for something completely outside the box to put on your Christmas list this is gonna be it this year you can definitely treat yourself with a bigger one. But if you're someone like me who wants something a little bit more portable, a little bit more flexible, you could even travel with it. It comes in a little bag. This is gonna be it. It's the infrared PEFM on the go mat, so it promotes more energy, restful sleep, rep a recovery, detox, improve circulation, reduce stress. I mean, who doesn't want all those things right? So, again, it's a splurge item, don't get me wrong, but it is really worth it. I've loved every single minute that I sit on it. I just love it, and you can lay it flat as well. It's just not as big as the other version. I think it's like over $1,000. I just was not. It was taking me to the next level of crazy that I just wasn't ready to get to yet, although I would love to have it All right.

Speaker 1:

Number two Now, if you've listened to this podcast for some time, you will know I have talked about these two items and they're gonna make my list probably every year. But I'm obsessed with connected fitness and I'm putting Peloton and Tonal in both of these on number two add to your wish list. The Tonal is another pricey item, at $4,000. However, what you can do is affirm it, so that way it's a 0%, you can take it out as monthly payments, it comes right out of your bank account and it's the same as having a gym membership. Once you pay off your unit, then you just have to pay the $49 fee. That's what I did a couple of years ago when I did it, and now it's just a $49 fee. It's like a regular gym membership. And when I tell you, I think Peloton and tonal are worth every penny.

Speaker 1:

If you are a person that has no time and if you are a person that just is Desperate to get fit and just doesn't like needs direction, like you have nowhere to start, like if you had dumbbells, you'd be like, yeah, okay, what. These items will help guide you down that path of being healthy, working out, movement, all kinds of things. If you are more strength, strength training based or focused and that's where you want to kind of focus on the tonal would definitely be a preferable option. Peloton does have some strength training stuff, definitely, but it's a different. It's more cardio based, I feel. There's a treadmill option, a rowing option and A bike option. You cannot go wrong with either one of these. I mean prices. I think a Peloton bike starts around a thousand dollars now, and the tonal is going to go all the way up to four, I think. The Peloton treadmill some are going to be in the five or six thousand dollar range. So, again, not cheap items.

Speaker 1:

But if you are someone that is focused on your health and wellness and you're on a weight loss journey and you have Significant others or family members that want to support you this holiday season, ask them to chip in, right? Let's say, the only thing I want this year is a Peloton chatter. The only thing I want is a tonal, and I want money towards that tonal. Whatever it is, I I think they have really changed the game. As far as fitness goes, as far as making it accessible to you in your house and Making it fun, making you feel connected to others, is a huge deal. This Thanksgiving, I did the Robin Thanksgiving turkey burn ride, which I do every year pretty much or I have for the last couple years and we everyone on that ride beat a world record. Like that's so cool, you know, and just to be able to feel like you're part of something bigger than yourself is Important, especially if you're on a health journey.

Speaker 1:

So, number two for 2023 holiday Splurge yourself or splurge yourself. Treat yourself. Wish list. I'm going to put tonal and Peloton both on there, so if you don't have something, I highly recommend looking into an option of one of them and Make it work. Make the payments if you can't afford to do it all at once or, like I said, get everybody to Venmo. Use some cash to put towards your purchase.

Speaker 1:

Alright, number three this is something that I have not spoken about much on this podcast, but I'm hoping to get somebody from the company on soon. I I've reached out to them, but it's a really cool device. It's called Apollo Nero and what it does is it uses soothing vibrations to rebalance your nervous system. You feel calmer, you form more and more in control of your emotions, you feel less stressed. It helps you focus better, quicker recovery all the things similar to the higher dose unit.

Speaker 1:

However, this is a wearable device, so it has an option of wearing it on your wrist, on your ankle, or you actually can take the motor part of it off and clip it on to, like you know, your bra strap or a tank top strap. You can wear it on your waist. You can wear it a bunch of different places, but I bought this thing a while ago I think it was probably about maybe eight or nine months ago and I've been using it and I do notice a difference when I wear it consistently. However, I've been bad and I've been wearing it as much, but I do notice the difference. I try to wear it to bed almost every night. That is something I am consistent with. However, they do suggest wearing it for two to three hours during the day on top of that night. It's not abrasive, you don't even notice you're wearing it. I wore it definitely every time I've flown recently and I have noticed that it helps ease my anxiety of this feeling like the takeoff stress. I don't do well with that, so it does help with that and it helps me feel like I'm more calm, like I'll put that on, I'll get on my mat and I just really feel like I get in a state, a deep state of relaxation, which you know if you're listening to this and you are classified as a hot mess mom, you are probably type A, you're probably running on all cylinders for everyone else at the time, and feeling relaxed and getting into that Deep state of like almost a meditation Sometimes can be hard, so these wearables make it a little bit easier now.

Speaker 1:

This device is Usually runs around 349. There is currently a promotion as we speak, as this episode is going out, that brings it down to 289 and there is an option to add a subscription. I believe it's about 599 a month. You don't have to add that at this point, but, um, there's some cool features. It does track. You can pick different programs. You know if you want something to focus, if you're maybe having a headache, or maybe you're suffering from jet lag, or maybe you're trying to go to sleep, maybe you're trying to meditate. There's different options for the vibrations and the intensities that you're feeling. But it's a really cool device and I, like I said, I hope to get the somebody from the company on the podcast in the near future to talk about these things, because I think, like I said, if you're listening to this, you can benefit from all of these things and really knowing more about the science and why you might want To invest in something like this I think will be worthwhile to your life.

Speaker 1:

But check it out and again, I will put the link in the show notes. That's number three Apollo, neuro. Number four this is something that obviously is near and dear to my heart, something I have tried, something I've had someone from the company on recently, and that is neutrosense. I'm gonna say that getting a subscription to neutrosense can be an absolute game changer in your health, game changer, life changer, all of the things. Really just being able to play an active role in what your body is doing on a minute-by-minute Basis is something that this device allows you to do. And also being able to partner with a, with somebody who can help guide you down that path and explain to you what's happening in your body and what you can do to kind of calm that down, and maybe you could even prevent illness, I mean, this is it's an amazing thing, it's amazing product and I think, partnered with the app and all the data that that gives you, and partnered with a coach, I just think it's an absolute game changer.

Speaker 1:

So if you're someone that's on a hot-the-wonder's journey, or maybe you're just curious about what's going on in your body, maybe you feel okay, but you're like, can I feel better? Maybe you're tired of the afternoon slump. Whatever it may be, I think this device will really open your eyes to a lot of things. And this is neutrosense description right. So it's about 300 to 400 dollars. Currently, there is a hundred fifty dollar promotion off the month. If you do it soon based upon this the airing of this podcast and I don't really I think you can put a price tag on it. I think it could be a lot more money for what you get, with you getting the devices to actually watch I'm honest here blood sugar. You're getting the app, you're getting the coaching, you're getting support on the back end. I just think it's completely worth every penny investing in your health to get something like this. All right, that's number four neuter sense subscription. Number five, and this is something that is awesome.

Speaker 1:

I've had mine for I don't know five years now four or five years and it's a thuragon. There's so many different options. Now I was when I was looking at the website. I was like, oh my gosh, like there's so many options compared to what I got mine. Mine was just like a plain thuragon. There was really any options, has like two modes. It's kind of boring but it does the trick. Now there's like a mini. There's a pro, there's one that's more for muscle relaxation. There's all these different things and what it is?

Speaker 1:

It's like a, a pulsing gun type device that helps it, aids in muscle recovery. It can prevent, you know, injuries and like loosening up your body so you can do before a workout, you can do after a workout and I really find that it's. It helps when your muscles get tight or you're feeling stiff. I can't say I do it on the most regular basis, but I need to be better at it. But if you're someone that's just in the beginning stages of working out and you tend to get sore really quickly, doing this before and after can really benefit you. Or if you're just somebody that suffers from, maybe, tight muscles and you're getting into more stretching and you're just getting into more movement and you want to kind of stay on top of it, make sure you're loosening at your body. This is a really cool device. I mean they even have eye masks now that like help relax you. Like I said, they're a gun.

Speaker 1:

I'll put the show, the link, in the show notes. It's a really cool company, a lot of cool gadgets and they do have some sales running right now. I would say that there are guns gonna run between 200 for like a mini and then, like the upper echelon of items is like $600 kind of runs the gauntlet. But the mini, you know, is a great starting point. I think. With the promotion, it's like 149 or something right now, so it's really reasonable and it's a really great way to see if it's something that you'll utilize, something that helps you and it's just a really good tool to have in your toolbox when you're working out All right.

Speaker 1:

Number six this is a company that I've recently started using I would say in the last like 90 days and it changes all of your cleaning products. It is called branch basics and there's soap, there's laundry stuff. It's like you can basically buy this one concentrate and do all cleaning with it. It just depends on the ratio of concentrate to water. You can be a window cleaner, it can be a stain remover, it can be a laundry soap, it can be a hand soap, all of the things. And the greatest thing about this company is it's completely removed all Toxins from the products, all natural, there's no cooking it, there's no GMO crap. There's no sense, there's no anything that can basically bother you. Non-toxic, human save, no preservatives, biodegradable, fragrance free, which for me, being super sensitive to sense and allergic to the world, it's really a game-changer for me.

Speaker 1:

I find this stuff amazing. Look, I have had no issues with keeping things clean. I don't have any more of those chemical smells in my house and for me, I am looking for ways to Make it easier on myself to live a healthier lifestyle and eliminating the sense, the chemicals out of my house, the toxins, if you will. I Am always looking for ways to do that and I have found that branch basics really covers a lot of those things. They just launched I think this week that I'm actually recording this a new gel hand soap, so I just ordered some of that, so I'm excited to try that.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, if you're looking for ways to swap out some stuff in your house and to eliminate some toxins that might have endocrine disruptors or you might be finding that you're being sensitive to smells, whatever it is, if you're trying to eliminate the stuff in your house, this company is where you should look. It's called branch basics. Again, I will put that in the show notes. The premium starter kit and glass is usually 125. There is a promotion right now, like I said, as this episode 20% off, so you can get it for around 100 bucks. So that's a great place to start. You can just buy more concentrate and refill it and I think what you will find is that actually replaces so many things that you Save money in cleaning supplies because it's like one thing does almost everything you need in your house. So a complete game changer.

Speaker 1:

If you're looking at your health and you want to kind of get rid of some things in your house that are toxic, okay, number seven this is something that I have been using Off and On for a very long time. Obviously, I listen to a lot of podcasts. Obviously, I read a lot of books, but sometimes there's a book or a podcast that you don't feel like you want to read the whole thing, or you don't feel like you want to listen to a two-hour podcast, and this is an app called Blinksys. Blinksys, I think it's pronounced, it's B-L-I-N-K-I-S-T, and what it does is it basically is the cliff notes of podcasts and books. So, like I said, there's some books that you just really want to dive into, read every single word, and there's some other books that you're like, nope, just give me the meat potatoes and I'm going to keep it moving. And this does that for you. It takes those books and it gives you it in like a 10-minute, 15-minute, gives you the main points and you can make the decision after that of, hey, maybe you do want to read the whole book. Most of the time you probably don't. You got what you needed from that book and you can move on. Podcasts same thing It'll give you. If there's like a three-hour podcast, that might dumb it down to like 20 minutes and give you the meat potatoes and you can keep it moving.

Speaker 1:

And I've noticed that they're adding so much more than when I first joined this company and it's amazing. So there is a promotion. Typically it's $99 for the year and for some reason when I was doing last week's episode, I thought it was $200 for the year, so I was saving it. And then when I looked it up, I was like, oh, it's actually much more reasonable than I thought, but I put it on this week's episode anyway, even though it's not over $100, because typically it is $100. But right now there is a deal that it's $25 for the whole year. So this is like a literally a no-brainer. We spend more than that on two Starbucks in a week. So go get this right now.

Speaker 1:

There is a free seven-day trial as well. So if you find that out for seven days, you don't like the way they're reviewing the books or you don't like the way they're telling them, it can read it to you audio, or it can allow you to read the cliff notes from the book too, which is a big deal, because sometimes you just want to read it and sometimes you want to hear it. So I love this app. Like I said, it really helps me kind of streamline the books that I want to take a deeper dive into and it also helps me to just some of the books that I want to just kind of skim or I wouldn't want to have, you know, taking up a couple weeks of my life. It gives me what I need from them, so highly recommend it. It's called Blinksist and it's number seven on my wish list for this year, and number eight is something I've spoken about before on this podcast, but it is just one of those things that I don't know how I will ever live without, and that is my ORA ring.

Speaker 1:

I just think that this thing is such a cool wearable device and much like Nutrisense, it's not abrasive, it gives you so much data in real time. It helps you and guide you you know from a health journey and just watching your sleep, which is so important if you're on a health and wellness journey. It helps you if you're trying to, you know, get pregnant, has your fertility on there. It has you know your steps for the day, to keep movement in the top of your mind and make sure you're, you know, staying on track of that and looking at, like historical, like hey, how many steps have you done over the last couple of weeks? Let's see what we can do to improve that. Or, hey, maybe you're killing it, you know, pat yourself on the back. It gives you a way and gives you a guide of like visually seeing what's going on in your body. They are adding stuff and improving stuff all the time.

Speaker 1:

I just think it's such a cool wearable. Like I said, it's such an easy thing to put on your body and just wear and get feedback all the time about what's going on. Like I said, sleep is so important and I think there's not enough information that we could be given about that, but it can almost predict when you're going to be sick. I mean, it's crazy. I look back at when I had COVID. It was very obvious when I had COVID, you can check your HRV, which is a good recovery metric, all the things.

Speaker 1:

So I just I don't know if I'll ever remove the order ring or palatinate tonal from these lists, because I just think they are such good items to have in your Health and Wellness Toolbox that I don't know that I could ever remove them, unless something better just comes on the market, but I've yet to see it. So definitely add an order ring to your wish list. They come in all different cute colors. I really want the rose gold, but I'm just like, until this one breaks, I'm gonna stick with what I have. But yes, the ring is gonna run you right around $300 or some that are more expensive, but I believe the base point plain silver one is $300. They do have a subscription plan that you do need to have. I believe it's $5.99 a month, so it's nothing crazy. But it is something to be mindful of if you're trying to watch descriptions, which I know can get out of hand rather quickly.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, so that is my list of my top eight items that if I wanted to splurge on myself this year, things that if I didn't already have, I would definitely add to my wish list. And, like I said, if something is completely out of reach, then tell everybody in your life that might buy you even a $10 gift that all you want this year is X or Y and you just want a gift card or you want Venmo money to help pay for it, because you are prioritizing your health this year and this is something that you really want to get, that you think might help you in your health journey. I don't there's no shame in that right. We all deserve to have the things that we might think might make us feel better and things that are gonna help us on this journey. So I can pretty much say every single one of these at some point in my health awareness journey has helped me, has guided me, has made me feel better, or I would never promote on this podcast.

Speaker 1:

I have personally used every single one of these things, except for all of the Thurigun things. I've only used the one that I have, but I know that they have all changed things in my health awareness journey for the better, or I would not ever get on here and promote them. So feel free to reach out if you have any questions about any of these items. Like I said, I am definitely a user of all of them and I'm a big fan in gadgets, you know, and things that are gonna help me feel better, because I need all the help I can get over here is this hot mess mom, and this and this realm of life that is crazy.

Speaker 1:

We all need it, so I hope this list helps you. I hope last week gave you some good ideas, too, to add to your list, and I hope you guys all have an amazing week. I will talk to you next week. Thank you so much for tuning in and listening to this episode of Hot Mess Mom Health. If you love this episode, please leave me an iTunes review. It would mean the world to me and it would help me get the word out about helping other moms reclaim their health. Thank you so much. I'll see you guys next week.
